TEEN CYCLE

Fun guided cycle for teenagers through the scenic Killykeen Forest Park, with bicycles and helmets provided.

Time:  10am-11.30am

Location: Killykeen Forest Park

Suitability: For Teenagers

FAMILY CYCLES

Fun family guided cycles suitable for all ages and abilities through the scenic Killykeen Forest Park, with bicycles and helmets provided.

Times: 12pm – 2pm and 2pm – 4pm

Date: Sunday 12th May 2024

Location: Killykeen Forest Park

Suitability: For families, adults and children

 

TUESDAY 14TH MAY
ACTIVE ADULT 50+ HERITAGE BIKE TRAIL

Leisurely Heritage cycle trail guided through Dartry Forest, with bicycles and helmets provided.

Time:  6pm-8pm

Date: Tuesday 14th May 2024

Location: Tanagh Outdoor Education and Training Centre

Suitability: Suitable for adults aged 50+

 

WEDNESDAY 15TH MAY 2024
WOMEN ON WHEELS TASTER

A recreational cycle for women, suitable for all ages and abilities.

Time:  7pm

Date:  Wednesday 15th May 2024

Location: Meeting at the Orchard Car Park (Helmet and Bicycles required)

Suitability: For Women

 

THURSDAY 16TH MAY 2024
CYCLING COME AND TRY DAY

A chance for children and adults to trying cycle in a safe environment. Leisure cycle to suit all abilities along Ballyconnell to Ballyheady blueway – bring your bicycle and helmet, refreshments will be provided.

Time:  7pm

Date:  Thursday 16th May 2024

Location:  Car park in front of Supervalu, Ballyconnell (at entrance to Castleforde).

Suitability: Children (7 years+) and adults

 

SATURDAY 18TH MAY
INCLUSIVE BIKEFEST

Cycle training for children with a disability, including fun skills, obstacles and bike checks. Bikes and helmets can be provided

Times:  10am-10.30am

Date: Saturday 18th May 2024

Location: Cycle Hub, Cavan Leisure Centre, Drumalee

Suitability: For Children with a disability aged 5-17 years

Fun balance bike parade for children aged 3+ followed by some fun and unique cycle shows including disco bicycles, unicycles and much more.

FAMILY CYCLE AND BARBEQUE WITH DB CYCLING CLUB

Family cycle for all abilities from beginners up, ideal for all age groups – children, adults, grandparents etc.  The event is off-road through local forest park facility.

Time:  3pm

along the obsolete Railway line from Loreto
Road connecting to the back of Cavan General
Hospital.
Kingscourt to Dun a Ri Recreational Trail approx 2km Flat/Steep sections All This includes a new section of recreational
trail and upgrading of existing forest trail
linking the town of Kingscourt at GAA grounds
to Coillte’s Dun a Ri Forest Park.
Belturbet to Corraquill (Lock 1) approx 7km Mostly flat with steep sections All This includes
a section of Greenway / Blue way from Belturbet
Town to Waterways Ireland Lock 1 at Corraquill
(currently terminates at Kilcorby Cabins)
