Sunday – 12th September Family/Group Cycles  – Vicarstown Cycling Group, and the Stradbally Cycling Group will cycle the new Barrow Blueway  from Vicarstown towards Athy. The stronger cyclists to go all the way to Athy and back (24k in total), and the not-so-strong can turn back at the end of the blueway (12km) 12pm Families from the local area Vicarstown Old School, Co.   Family Cycle – A 5km family cycle which will be lead out by Laois Hurling and Camogie Stars, Ross King, Róisín Kilmartin, Paddy Purcell and Sarah Creagh 1pm Families – Adults and Children The Square, Rathdowney

Tuesday – 14th September Inclusion Cycle at Vicarstown Update to scheduled time!

The Inclusion Cycle will be leaving the starting point at 6.30pm and not 7pm as previously advised as the evenings are getting very dark.

  Get Back on your Bike – The purpose of the event is to encourage adults to return to cycling and socialising with a group. 7pm Adults The Square, Rathdowney, Co. Laois
  Tuesday cycle- Vicarstown to Monasterevin with a stop-over and refreshments at the half-way point in Castlemitchell GAA Club 7pm Families from the local area Vicarstown Old School
Wednesday – 15th September Cycle on Wednesday – Pedals Away! Cycle Bus Trip! 10am-12pm 5th & 6th Class pupils from Portlaoise National Schools Portlaoise
  Cycle on Wednesday Rathdowney – The purpose of the event is to encourage school children to cycle to school. A promotional event will be held at Rathdowney National School for the children on their arrival. 8am-9am

  Cycle to Group 2.45pm` Young People age 7years-13years from Mountmellick and surrounding areas. Mountmellick Youth and Family Resource Centre Sports Complex
  Downtown Portlaoise “On Yer Bike Day”- Downtown members cycle to work and meet at Market Square at 8.45am. Local press will be present for a group photo to promote National Bike Week 8.45am Downtown Portlaoise Members Destination Market Square, Portlaoise
Thursday – 16th September Cycle to Group 2.45pm Young People age 7 years – 13years from Mountmellick and surrounding areas. Mountmellick Youth and Family Resource Centre Sports Complex
  Stradbally Cycle from Market House 7pm Adults & Children 10 years of age Market House, Stradbally
Friday – 17th September Bike Maintenance & Repair Workshop – The purpose of the event is to facilitate an understanding of basic bike maintenance through a workshop format. It will be followed by a short cycle. Update to scheduled time!

Start time now 5pm and not 6pm as previously advised.

  Bikes with Lights – starting from Old School Vicarstown, cycle towards Athy, 8 miles round trip 7pm Adults & Children over 7 years of age Old School, Vicarstown
Saturday – 18th September Cycling Confidence Workshop aimed at improving the cycling skill level of children and young people. Update to scheduled time!

Sunday – 19th September Timahoe 10km Family Cycle – with Tea/Coffee treat afterwards in the Tower & Bean Coffee shop 11.30am Families- children should be competent cyclists Church Car Park, Timahoe
