MILLENNIUM PARK FAMILY FUN DAY

We’re kicking off BikeWeek with a fantastic family fun day!

Come along to Millennium Park Blanchardstown to meet the Active Travel team and try out the Velodrome, Bike Orienteering, or get your bike repaired!

SUNDAY 12TH MAY 
INCLUSIVE CYCLING EVENT

An inclusive cycling come and try day for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities and additional needs.

A range of adapted cycles will be available including accessible bikes, Trishaws, Wheelchair Bike.

The event is also a chance for graduates of our kids and teens Learn 2 Cycle with a Disability lessons to try out their skills in a safe outdoor environment.

Time:  1pm-3pm

BIKE WEEK @ THE BOATHOUSE BALBRIGGAN

The boathouse in Balbriggan will host a pop-up bike hub for the duration of Bike Week, with a range of exciting events for everyone! Events include Bike Maintenance Workshops, learn the basics of bike maintenance with the Rediscovery Centre and the Bike Hub, Upcycled Arts Exhibition and art workshops with the Scéal Arts Collective, Bike Yoga workshop, arts upcycling workshops, and much more!

  • Arts Exhibition with Balbriggan’s Scéal Arts Collective
  • Upcycled arts and crafts workshops with Scéal Arts Collective
  • Bike Maintenance workshops and demos with the Bike Hub & the Rediscovery Centre
  • Chance to try Bleeper bike’s range of lease e-bikes

TUESDAY 14TH MAY 
SPECIAL EDUCATION CYCLE LESSONS

As part of Bike Week 2024 we are holding an inclusive come and try cycling event in Millennium Park, Blanchardstown on the New Learn 2 Cycle Track.

The event takes place on Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th May and is a great opportunity for Children and Teens with Additional needs to learn some cycling skills in a safe and secure setting.

Join us for a relaxed social cycle around the Phoenix Park, with summer tunes from the Dublin Cycling Campaign, Route approx. 5km

MALAHIDE FAMILY FUN DAY

Leave the car at home and join us by bike, on foot or by public transport for fun and free activities including:

Family friendly cycle-in movies on the lawn – why not bring a picnic blanket and relax? Bike repairs with the Rediscovery Centre, outdoor games, pedal powered games, trishaw journeys for older people around the Demesne in our Cycling Without Age bikes!
