NTA is pleased to confirm that the Wheelchair Accessible Grant Scheme 2026 will open for
applications on Monday, 12 January at 10AM. It will remain open until 5PM on 19 January.
As in previous years, applications must be made online. Successful applications will be chosen
through a lottery/random selection. All valid applications received will be treated equally. No
advantage or priority will be given to those who apply early.
Please note the following:
- The 2026 Scheme will be available twice, with TWO rounds of applications accepted – both
on a random selection/lottery basis:- Round 1 will be open for applications on 12 January 2026.
- Round 2 will open for further applications in July 2026.
- Only 1 application will be accepted per applicant.
- All Provisional Grant Offers (PGOs) offered will be valid for 5 months.
- If you plan to change your vehicle or apply for a licence but may not be ready to put a
vehicle on the road early in the year, there will be a second opportunity to apply for a grant
in July. If you get a provisional offer in Round 1 but do not complete the process, you will not
be eligible to apply in Round 2. - There will be NO extensions offered for grant offers.
- There will be NO cancellation list or waitlists for WAV Grant 2026.
