There was a significant increase in the number of passengers taking the DART – up 7.5% on the previous year.

Topics covered in the Bulletin include:

· number of passenger journeys

· total operated vehicle kilometres and vehicle seat kilometres

· passenger revenues

· free travel scheme revenue

· subsidies

· network changes

· rail accessibility

This is the latest in a series of Statistical Bulletins published by the National Transport Authority. Earlier reports covering taxi services, rail, commercial bus and household travel, can be accessed online.

Note, Luas and Irish Rail provide rail services to the National Transport Authority under contract; the Authority publishes quarterly reports on the key performance indicators of Iarnród Éireann and Luas on its website.
