The TFI Smarter Travel Team is delighted to announce the Marchathon Step Challenge.

Marchathon will run from March 4th to March 31st

Marchathon is a fun team Step Challenge that takes place in March each year. It is open to staff and students of workplaces and third level campuses who are partners of the Smarter Travel Programme.

How to get involved?

The Marchathon step challenge is open to all of our partner organisations. To see if your organisation has signed up, click here.

Marchathon has once again got great team and individual prizes that can be won throughout the month. The competitions include team targets, fun quizzes, weekly draws and much more!

The Smarter Travel Mark

Applications for the Smarter Travel Mark continue all year round. If you are an organisation that would like to be recognised for your commitment to supporting sustainable and active travel, you can express your interest and attend one of our information webinars to find out more.

The Smarter Travel Mark is a three tier certification that recognises and celebrates organisations that support active and sustainable travel on the commute and beyond for their workforce, students and visitors, resulting in a reduction in single-person car usage.

Certification Levels

Gold: has outstanding measures in place that support sustainable and active commuting and is committed to long term investment and leadership in Smarter Travel
Silver: has a broad range of measures in place that support sustainable and active commuting and is committed to further Smarter Travel actions.
Bronze: has basic measures in place that support sustainable and active commuting and is committed to further Smarter Travel actions.

 

How to Apply

  1. Fill in the Expression of Interest form and you will be contacted by the Smarter Travel team.
  2. Attend an information webinar explaining the steps to achieving the Smarter Travel Mark.
  3. Submit the application form.
  4. Prepare for an on-line or on-site audit to verify the application.
  5. Organisations will be awarded the gold, silver or bronze Smarter Travel Mark certification or receive recommendations for improvement.
