NTA – Gender Pay Gap

The National Transport Authority (NTA) recognises the importance of having an inclusive culture - a culture in which everyone is welcomed, treated equitably and supported to reach their full potential.

Ireland’s gender pay gap legislation has now been enacted and brought in to law. The Gender Pay Gap Information Act 2021 requires organisations to report on their hourly gender pay gap across a range of metrics.

Organisations with over 250 employees are being asked to report on their gender pay gap for the first time in 2022, with the requirement extending to organisations with 150 or more employees in 2024, and finally to those with 50 employees or more in 2025. Although the NTA has fewer than 250 employees, we are pleased to publish our first Gender Pay Gap Report in advance of the required timeframe.

Our gender pay gap currently stands at 3.78%. We are committed to further closing this gap by continuing to improve gender equality in the NTA. The Gender Pay Gap Report will play a key role in our equality, diversity and inclusion actions going forward as we work towards further closing our gender pay gap.
