NTA Taxi Consumer Survey
This report details the findings of a representative survey of taxi users in Ireland (Feb 2026).
This survey sets out to understand current and expected usage of taxis with a focus on electric vehicles and wheelchair accessible taxis (WAT). The information may be used to contribute to future plansfor the industry.
Where possible, this report compares findings with the previous survey conducted in 2024.
NTA Taxi Driver Presentation
This report details the findings of a representative survey of taxi drivers in Ireland. Results from February 2024 are included where available for comparison purposes.
The core objective of this survey was:
- To understand the current operating costs for taxi drivers in Ireland in terms of their vehicle, usage of third-party booking services and the working hours.
This research aimed to understand:
- Other costs associated with operating a taxi
- Current working and payment trends among taxi drivers
- Experiences of those who drive an electric vehicle taxi
