The National Transport Authority (NTA) has launches an inclusivity campaign, so that the Transport for Ireland (TFI) public transport network can be a space where diversity is not only acknowledged but celebrated. Building on the anti-racism campaigns of previous years, the campaign seeks to promote the network as a welcoming and inclusive environment for all passengers, regardless of their background, abilities, or identity.
Transport for Ireland – We’re transport for what unites us
The campaign will feature a series of advertisements across buses, trams, and trains, as well as on social media, highlighting the stories of diverse individuals who use public transport daily. With the tagline “Transport for Ireland is Transport for you, transport for everyone“, the campaign emphasizes that every passenger, regardless of their differences, is part of the broader community that makes up Ireland’s public transport network.
Our transport system reflects the diverse needs of the people it serves
Anne Shaw, CEO of the National Transport Authority, added:
“Ensuring that our public transport network is inclusive and accessible for everyone is a core priority for the NTA. Transport is far more than a way of getting from A to B – it is a gateway to education, employment, and independence. I am particularly passionate about how improved transport options can break down barriers for people of all ages, genders, and abilities, helping to deliver genuine inclusion in everyday life.
We will continue working closely with operators, local authorities, and community partners to make sure that our transport system reflects the diverse needs of the people it serves. When public transport is accessible to all, society as a whole becomes stronger and more connected.”
The NTA’s inclusivity campaign is set to run for the next few weeks.
