The National Transport Authority (NTA) has today announced that Route 310 in Limerick will operate under a new contract with Bus Éireann commencing Monday, 20 April 2026.

Continuity of Service Within the TFI Network
The service, which has been operated by Dublin Coach to date, will continue to provide an important public transport link for passengers, with the new contract ensuring ongoing delivery of the service as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) network.
The service will continue to operate seven days a week, with departures every 30 minutes, including early morning and evening services.
Passengers can continue to avail of TFI fares using Leap Cards, with free travel passes remaining valid.
From 20 April, cash payment will also be accepted on board, providing an additional payment option for passengers.

Route Enhancement and Network Connectivity
Under the new contract, a realignment of the route to serve the recently completed Bloodmill Road extension, improving connectivity to key residential and employment areas, ensuring the service reflects the growing transport needs of the city.
The service will be operated by a new fleet of fully electric buses, providing a quieter and more comfortable journey for passengers while supporting national and local transport emission targets.

Speaking ahead of the commencement of the new contract, Director of Public Transport Services at the NTA, Jeremy Ryan said:
“The introduction of a new contract for Route 310 ensures the continued delivery of this key service for communities in Limerick. As part of the TFI network, the route will continue to provide a reliable and accessible public transport option, with service enhancements and fully electric vehicles supporting an overall better experience for passengers”
