Junk Kouture World Final Returns to Dublin

Junk Kouture, the global, year-round educational programme with a vision to enrich and empower the lives of young people through creativity, circular-thinking and self-expression will return to Dublin for the fourth Junk Kouture World Final at The Helix, DCU, on Tuesday 24 February.

A Global Festival of Creativity and Circularity

Part of the Junk Kouture Festival of Creativity and Circularity running in Dublin from 23–25 February, the Junk Kouture World Final will welcome 60 finalist design teams from Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, the USA and the UAE. This year marks 16 years of Junk Kouture empowering young people aged 12–19 in Ireland and highlights Ireland’s pivotal role in promoting youth creativity and circular innovation on an international stage.

Ahead of the World Final, Junk Kouture is proud to welcome back EUROSPAR Supermarkets as Headline Sponsor for Ireland, Staycity Aparthotels as Official Accommodation Partner, and DHL as Official Logistics Partner, as they all continue to play a vital role in delivering the World Final in Ireland. Dublin City Council also returns as a valued partner, supporting the event’s mission to champion sustainability, creativity and youth-led innovation.

New Partnerships Strengthening Sustainability and Inclusion

New this year, Transport for Ireland (TFI) joins Junk Kouture as Official Transport Partner, reinforcing their commitment to accessibility, connectivity and more sustainable travel. Junk Kouture is also delighted to welcome Vision Ireland, its charity partner, who will be present on the day of the World Final. The partnership highlights a shared commitment to inclusion, opportunity and positive social impact, alongside sustainability and creativity. To kick off the Junk Kouture Festival of Creativity and Circularity on 23 February, a walking tour with all the visiting teams of designers will take place with thanks to Dublin Tour Guide.

Showcasing Circular Couture on the Catwalk

On 24 February, the Junk Kouture World Finalists will take to the catwalk in the Helix in couture designs created entirely from upcycled and repurposed materials, showcasing bold storytelling, exceptional craftsmanship and cutting-edge circular fashion as they compete for the coveted World Designer of the Year title, alongside a range of additional partner awards including the Innovation Award Powered by EUROSPAR, Junior Designer of the Year Award Powered by DHL, and the Glamour Award Powered by TFI.

International Judging Panel

Designs will be evaluated by a prestigious international judging panel spanning sustainability, fashion, education and entertainment including Cory Infinite, a creative director and multidisciplinary artist known for championing individuality and self-expression through fashion; Claire Garvey, leading Irish designer whose work bridges fashion, culture and media and and Zeda, Dublin-based visual artist, stylist and creative director.
