Inventory of Transport Models
The NTA has created an Inventory of Transport Models which aims to map, collate, and make available Local Area Models (LAMs), Micro-simulation and Junction Models developed as part of publicly funded transport projects across the Republic of Ireland.
Goal of the inventory
The intention of the inventory is to streamline model development, improve efficiency and coordination in transport modelling for Irish projects, and support the improvement of transport model quality over time.
It is hoped that the Inventory of Transport Models will result in time and cost savings, avoiding any unnecessary duplication of models by allowing local authorities to identify existing models via the NTA’s website prior to undertaking costly model development projects.
Web App
The web app linked below allows interested parties to identify the location and key characteristics (area covered, year of development, software used, and so on) of existing models.
The information in the web app was collected through outreach to Local Authorities, and the NTA would like to thank all contacts who contributed.
