National Transport Authority Employees to Participate in the 2019 European Transport Conference

9 October 2019

Three of our NTA colleagues will be among over 500 delegates from 30 countries taking part in the European Transport Conference this week from 9 – 11 October at Dublin Castle.

On Wednesday 9 October, Barry Colleary will participate in the Transport Models session, presenting on “Effectiveness of conventional methods in estimating intrazonal generalised cost variations in transport modelling” from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

As part of the Ireland 2040 session on Thursday 10 October, Peter O’Sullivan will present on “Modelling the Planning Land Use and Transport Outlook (PLUTO) for 2040 Ireland”, and Owen Shinkwin will present on “Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy 2040” from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM.

The European Transport Conference (ETC) is the annual conference of the Association for European Transport. Topics covered include autonomous vehicles, climate change, sustainability and transport modelling, and it is a great opportunity for voices from the NTA to be heard and to take part in shaping the conversation around public transport in the months and years to come.
