Transforming Transport in Galway
Galway is the economic, educational and cultural capital of the West of Ireland. As the city and surrounding metropolitan area continue to grow, significant investment is being made in public transport, active travel and sustainable mobility to improve connectivity, reduce congestion and support Galway’s future development.
The Galway Transport Strategy provides the long term framework for transport investment in Galway, placing greater emphasis on public transport, walking and cycling while reducing dependence on private car travel.
