Introducing the TFI 90-minute fare
Since Monday 20 July 2026, customers travelling on Bus Éireann Cork city services have a simpler way to travel with the introduction of the TFI 90-Minute Fare.
With a valid Leap Card, passengers can:
- Travel on any Cork city bus service
- Transfer between buses as often as needed within 90 minutes
- Pay just one fare for the entire journey
This new fare makes bus travel across Cork more flexible, convenient and affordable.
Faster boarding with Tap-and-Go validators
New on-board ticket validators are being introduced across the Cork city bus network.

More than 5,000 passengers each week already make journeys that involve changing buses. The new system makes these journeys quicker and easier while opening up more travel options across the network.
Daily fare capping
Passengers using a Leap Card also benefit from fare capping, helping ensure they receive the best value when making multiple journeys.
Free Travel Pass holders
Passengers travelling with a Free Travel Pass or a Child 5-8 year-old Leap Card will continue to travel free of charge.
When boarding, customers should simply tap on using the new validators.
