The Company

With over 250 staff working from studios in Dublin and Cork, it is one of the largest architectural practices in Ireland. The Dublin studio is located at 51-54 Pearse Street in the heart of the city centre.
Facilities
Facilities There has been a successful upgrade of the existing End of Trip facilities within the building at -2 Level. These are accessible via Magennis Place just off Pearse Street. These state-of-the-art facilities include secure bicycle parking with double racks, modern showers, new changing facilities and lockers, all kept clean, well maintained and fully stocked. These facilities are used daily by cycling commuters and by staff who like to stay active at lunchtime.
‘Cycling is Queen at HJL’
Cycling is the most popular form of transport to the Henry J Lyons offices, followed by train/DART/Luas, walking, bus and finally car.
How is this achieved?
Cycling
There is convenient secure parking for 25 bicycles just off the main entrance with the remainder accessed through a carpark to the rear. HJL participate in the bike to work scheme which many of the staff avail of. As a large number of projects are located in the city, many employees use their bikes to travel to meetings on site or in nearby offices.
HJL recently held an in-house bicycle maintenance workshop taught by a staff member . The aim was to teach bicycle repairs and how to prepare bikes for the winter months. There are also plans to run bike training for staff in the coming months, run by Cycle Ireland.
Staff from HJL participate annually in the Great Dublin Bike Ride & European Cycling challenge
Walking
Walking The city centre location makes HJL accessible by foot from several nearby neighbourhoods. Staff enjoy a fresh walk to work, arriving alert and ready for action. (Weather permitting of course!)
Train/DART/Luas/Bus
The office is 100 metres from Pearse Street Station, a major Dublin rail hub for Commuter and DART services. Several Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann stops are conveniently located within a couple of minutes’ walk from the front door. Henry J Lyons provides Tax saver tickets for staff, saving up to 40% on ticket costs.
