With the mornings and evenings becoming darker as we head into winter, it is important that people cycling are visible and use both front and rear bike lights.
Smarter Travel Programme Partners are invited to brighten things up with our annual Light Up Your Bike campaign, which takes place each October. This year’s campaign will run from Monday 12 October to Friday 23 October 2026 the two weeks before Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday 25 October 2026,
Partners wishing to take part should look out for the application form, which will be circulated to all programme partners by email in September 2026.
Participating partners can download the posters and social media assets below to promote the campaign within their workplace or campus.
Please note: the bike lights supplied through this campaign are intended as backup lights only and should not be used as a cyclist’s primary bike lights.
