A confidential telephone survey of SPSV drivers nationwide and an online survey of consumers was carried out in September/October 2020. These surveys aimed to establish how services have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and covered areas such as demand, operational expenses and insurance, together with other topical items for the industry. The following findings were obtained.
The surveys will be repeated in the coming weeks to gather further information regarding the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the SPSV industry.
As before, the surveys will be conducted by Behaviour & Attitudes, an independent market research company based in Dublin, on behalf of NTA. All responses are anonymous and results will be presented in a collective format. Participation in this survey is voluntary and operators may choose to opt out if they wish.
