Compliance activities in December 2015

Compliance Officers recorded a total of 5,759 checks of small public service vehicles during the month. As part of the day to day checks and also pre-arranged operations, four individuals were detected operating without valid SPSV licences in the Dublin area. A total of 63 Fixed Payment Notices were issued to licence holders during the month.
A total of 66 complaints were received during December. The greatest number of these complaints (47%) related to the behaviour of drivers.
Prosecutions in December 2015
Twenty cases were heard before District Courts around the country during December. Of these cases, seventeen were successful and three were adjourned to be heard at a later date.
