The Terms and Conditions associated with the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Grant Scheme 2021 (WAV21) have been updated. These updated Terms and Conditions will apply to all new applicants and to all existing applicants who have not yet completed the Grant process, that is to say those existing applicants who have not yet completed their suitability inspection and had their vehicle licenced.
The WAV21 – Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Grant Scheme continues to offer financial aid of up to €7,500 nationwide for the purchase or conversion of a new WAV – and a sliding scale, with lesser monies being available for older cars. Cars older than 6 years will not qualify for this Scheme. The Grant Scheme also offers training assistance to all successful applicants.
