Compliance officers recorded 1,114 formal checks of small public service vehicles during the month and, as a result of their work, detected twelve individuals operating without valid SPSV licences; five in Donegal, two each in Clare and Kildare, one each in Dublin, Cork and Limerick. 26 Fixed Payment Notices were issued to licence holders during the month.
Complaints in May 2015
A total of 92 complaints were received during May 2015. The majority of these complaints related to behaviour of drivers.
Prosecutions in May 2015
In May, the Authority prosecuted 23 cases at District Courts around the country. Thirteen of these matters were heard, and ten have been adjourned to a later date. Of the thirteen cases heard, nine resulted in convictions.
