Go-Ahead Ireland - Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area bus services

Go-Ahead Ireland – Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area bus services

Contract

This contract provides for the operation of bus services in the Outer Dublin Metropolitan Area (ODMA), covering both the North and South operating areas. Following a competitive public procurement process, the National Transport Authority selected Go‑Ahead Transport Services (Dublin) Limited trading as Go‑Ahead Ireland as the preferred bidder for both ODMA North and ODMA South, combining the operations into one contract as Go‑Ahead Ireland were the preferred bidder for both competitions.

Go‑Ahead Ireland has been operating bus services under contract with the NTA in the ODMA since 2018. In November 2025, Go‑Ahead Ireland commenced operation of 25 routes under the new ODMA North and South contract, while continuing to operate 15 routes from the original ODMA contract during a transitional period. These legacy routes will be phased out as new services are introduced under the BusConnects Network Redesign.

The remaining routes under the contract will be introduced on a phased basis, aligned with the rollout of Phases 8 to 11 of the BusConnects Network Redesign.

The contract commenced in November 2025 and is for five years, with an extension option of up to two years.
